Field-checking the new map at Lafarge Lake for Sprint Camp 2017.
Newly-purloined contours are fortunately very accurate. This was probably my final visit in "mapping" mode. Next time will be in "test running" mode :D
Considering whether to mark the lake as "passable" due to the recent weather. Would make for an interesting choice - round on the occasionally icy path, or across on the very icy lake!?

Early morning hike up Hollyburn to see the sunrise of the new year (yay for jetlag!). Snowshoes only needed for the last push to the summit, as the main trail is so popular and compact. Got a few odd looks jogging down in my O-shoes at 9am...
Knee felt okay, but maybe the -10C numbed the pain?

Took a trip to Brandywine to see if I could find a control that went AWOL at the BC Champs. No sign of it, but made for a nice snowshoe trek.
TIL snowshoeing in the wild is not like snowshoeing on the North Shore. Breaking trail is hard!
