Yoga, core etc 4:00:00 [4]

Ceilidh dancing for Kate's birthday. Best described as an extended interval calisthenic workout. Lots of jumping, skipping, twirling and whirling.

Leg soreness: low
Back soreness: moderate (should have stretched more)
Fluid loss: high

Orienteering 26:12 [3] 2.87 km (9:08 / km) +37m 8:35 / km

Technically simple, but physically treacherous training in Musqueam Park. Inov8s worked great on the icy trails, though the frozen churned-up field wasn't so great for my knee.

Slight bobble on #2 as the "small dot" trees were tiny, and my brain didn't process them as trees... Spent too much time on the wrong side of some big trees looked for the control.

Direct route to #18 was totally gratuitous, but fun. In an actual race I would totally have taken the trail and saved 30s.

Mapping 4:30:00 [0]

More mapping in preparation for Sprint Camp.

Bumped into Alison at Poirier and it looks fun! Mercifully few updates needed, but there are some HUGE snow banks in places. Might need to suggest crampons rather than just spikes if Alison is a particularly nasty planner?

Looking forward to seeing what the ground actually looks like when the snow melts. Almost mapped an area of the Queens Park extension as yellow, until I tried to walk across and fell down 2 feet into nasty thorny bushes. Dark green it is!
