Run home through Pacific Spirit. Wore my new shoes from Dave for the first time, and they feel good! They have the thinnest tongue I've ever seen, so need to perfect my lacing technique, but otherwise they feel good. Alas I got them muddy by failing to leap over the biggest puddles (I blame the heavy backpack).

PNE WET. Training focus for the week was using big attack points, which went pretty well. I like having these little tips each week so you focus on actually training rather than just running round areas you've run round countless times before. Keep it up, athlete dev!

Took the longer route to Carleton today, which was pretty, but a terrible mistake. Was fine for the first 5km, then was running through a park that hadn't had the snow cleared all winter. Few cm of fresh snow on top of lumpy solid ice. Pace dropped from 5:30 to 7:00 for that section. Made it to the meeting just in time!
