Sigurd Trail to Crooked Falls. I want to summit Sigurd Peak later in the year, so this was a recce of the first part of the trail. Plus the falls are cool.
The best view is early on, overlooking the Squamish Valley. The trail is fairly technical and steep in places, and passes some huge boulders (8-10m tall?). Lots of variety underfoot to keep you on your toes.
The falls make a little zig-zag on their way down, and are really powerful at the moment. Lots of spray made it very refreshing.
No water sources on this route, as I wouldn't want to get close to the falls to fill up. It was nearly 30C by the time I was back, and I easily finished my two bottles of water.
The trail was much busier than I expected for something quite out of the way, but I see that it's on outdoorvancouver and vancouvertrails. Sigurd Peak itself is another 1500m higher, so I'm pretty sure that trail is going to be a lot quieter...
