Trail run through the fields and forests near CERN. Lovely stuff. One of the trails runs along the French-Swiss border, which appears to be marked by a bit of paint on some trees, and nothing else.
The CERN campus is huge. I'm staying in the on-site CERN hotel, and my lab is exactly a mile away - within the same security fence, but technically in a different country. The place is absolutely full of labs, offices and accelerators - think of a university physics department the size of UBC. Awesome.
Popped into Geneva earlier in the day to have a wander. Pretty average by European city standards, but the shopping area puts Robson Street to shame - I've never seen so many "we don't do price tags"-type stores in one place.

Quick loop in PSP before my flight to Europe. I'm heading to Geneva (setting up an experiment at CERN) and Naples (for a collaboration meeting). I appear to be visiting both places at the optimally worst time of year; fingers crossed there will be at least 1 dry day during my trip.
