Running 51:06 [2] 9.83 km (5:12 / km) +60m 5:03 / km
ahr:125 max:145 shoes: on Cloudflow Red/Blue

Easy run along False Creek during a monsoon.

Right knee started to feel a bit tight after 4km, but loosened up after doing an uphill section. I've been doing too much flat road running recently - need to mix things up a bit more.

Running 2:16:39 [3] 26.2 km (5:13 / km) +150m 5:04 / km
ahr:144 max:165 shoes: on Cloudflow Red/Purple

Over Burrard, clockwise loop around Stanley Park, then back via Burrard.

There's an interesting art/environmental installation on Kits Beach today - a bunch of life-sized statues made of discarded plastic in various beach activity poses. Probably 20+ "people" playing volleyball, surfing, sunbathing etc. Then a few signs with explanations and links to eco websites. I didn't take a close look, but it's visually impressive from a distance.

Running 1:08:10 [3] 13.38 km (5:06 / km) +180m 4:46 / km
ahr:145 max:172 shoes: on Cloudflow Red/Purple

Steady jog around PSP, with more of a push towards the end. Very pleasant temperature this early in the morning.

Metro Van continue their crusade to make every trail in the forest wide, smooth and boring. The latest casualty is Iron Knee, which used to have a delightful "forest floor" feeling to it, and is now crushed gravel.

Running 46:17 [3] 7.77 km (5:57 / km) +78m 5:40 / km
ahr:148 max:179 shoes: on Cloudflow Red/Purple

Huckleberry Hill reps in PSP. Toasty and windless, so my shirt didn't last long.

Rep times a bit all over the place. From rock to bendy tree: 53, 54, 52, 53, 49, 52, 53, 50. A think the reps are a little bit longer than they used to be, as they've removed the culvert we used to use as the starting point.

Cycling 1:00:34 [3] 25.63 km (25.4 kph) +281m
ahr:147 max:172

Pre-work loop around Stanley Park. Lots of people out on the commuter bike paths, but the park loop was deserted - I only saw 1 car and no bikes on the entire loop!

The cones are back to create a segregated bike path on part of the loop. It's a lot more sensible this year though - cars are allowed to access the parking lots, and there's no segregation in the area where the horse-drawn carriages operate. I'm still not convinced there needs to be any segregation, but this is far better than last year.
12 PM

Cycling 31:05 [3] 12.9 km (24.9 kph) +103m

Got my first dose of Pfizer at UBC, then down to the lab for the afternoon.
