Saturday Nov 11 #

2 PM

O race race 15:27 [3] 3.57 km (4:20 / km)

Sprint into Spring at Bundoora RMIT
Lots of running.... good course, except I very nearly missed control 1 as it was on a straight line to 2.... luckily I only ran an extra 30 -40 metres. Not too many mistakes as the area is pretty straight forward, had trouble finding the line 11-12 on the map, but only 5 secs maybe lost.

running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)

3 PM

O training 17:00 [3] 3.0 km (5:40 / km)

training exercise after sprint race, I ran around with Angus who we are trying to encourage into Orienteering as he can run 1:59 for 800m and 4:19 1500m and he is only 15!!
He actually had a really good handle on it....

Friday Nov 10 #

2 PM

swimming 40:00 [3] 1.6 km (25:00 / km)

First real swim since last summer, the pool is so nice and it was pretty warm so was easy to get in.
I was only going to do 20 laps but kept going and did 32 or so in the end, lots of breaststroke though so hoping i don't suffer for that tomorrow.

Thursday Nov 9 #

7 PM

O training 1:08:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:14 / km)

Ran over the new foot bridge for the first time, YAY! and only got told off twice by workmen that were still there at 6:30pm!!, the bridge isnt officially open yet but Aston and I thought they'd be finished for the day....... oopsie
Ran to Darebin park on the new path which was only 3.5km, fantastic.
Will and Pete H had organised some relay training which was fun and hard physically. Ran home, over the new bridge, no workmen, phew.

Tuesday Nov 7 #

11 AM

running 40:00 [3] 6.3 km (6:21 / km)

Quads still really sore and not playing nicely so just a very slow jog around the Billabong and oval - on the soft grass!!

Sunday Nov 5 #

12 PM

O training 1:00:00 [3] 8.1 km (7:24 / km)

OMG I cant walk :) :)
my poor quads were ripped apart yesterday on the nasty decent!
I hobbled around course 1 at the Beechworth Gorge O event, ended up running with Jensen for the last half, beautiful area, map a bit dicey though. We were so late starting that the last two controls were pulled in.......by Warren!! who was helping the organisers.
