running race 1:24:25 [5] 21.25 km (3:58 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoom Flys

Burnley half marathon. 11th Female, 1st oldie.
I only found out about this race on thursday, and decided for sure last night to do it, I haven't done any longer runs than about 10km (except WOC long) for ages so I was unsure of making the distance and so started slow ( also a last minute visit to a bush meant I started right at the back of the pack) But this is how I like to start anyway, slowly and then increasing pace and catching people.
Actually surprisingly felt really good nearly all the way except for the last km. The course was 5km loops with u turns around cones at the ends which were very annoying! Got a massive blister with about 5km to go, so didnt warm down as it was too sore- feeling abit stiff now........
first 10km 40.25
second 10km 39.28

O training 1:25:00 [3] 7.0 km (12:09 / km)

Women's training day at Daylesford, Lake Wombat map. It was cold wet and the bark was super slippery, not too much fun. I helped hang some controls and just walked jogged them out. Milla came with me for half of it so that was fun. Rob Fell is doing a great job with things like this, hopefully O in Victoria is on the up.

core 15:00 [3]

a quick run through core/glutes at the gym
2 PM

Warmup/down 30:00 [3]

bumped into Susi at the gym so walked on treadmill next to her..... I did have the gradient cranked up!!! :) and the gossip catch up added a bit of oxygen depravation...

swimming 20:00 [3]

swimming, just cruised through some laps as I havent reallly swum laps since Will left, actually felt good. ( just missed a punch up in the Sauna.....bit of drama between 2 of the big fat gold chain wearing old men that dominate the space!)
5 PM

running 48:00 [3] 10.1 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoom Flys

had to run in my new shoes abit incase I want to try race in them this weekend, not sure as they rub on my achilles a bit....
an easy run around the streets, felt pretty good except achilles and right quad not happy.

did 5 mins of stretching and attempted my usual 20 pushups and found it really really hard work :((( must get back to doing them every day :)

running (mona) 52:00 [5] 10.5 km (4:57 / km)
shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR3

Did a Mona session with Karen, I am so lucky to have her as my new training buddy!!
20 min warmup to Chandler and back to run the intervals around the billabong track. She has been sick for a few weeks so I had it over her on the intervals but she floats faster than me so we evened up nicely. Felt really good, probs mostly pyschological because she wasnt running as fast as usual so i was feeling falsely faster :)))

running 25:00 [3] 5.2 km (4:48 / km)
shoes: Nike Zoom Flys

A last minute decision to go for a little run, to escape doing core exercises I think as running is the easier option.... ( lazy laz lazy)
