Running race (Narrow Neck Night Race) 1:27:16 [4] 20.01 km (4:22 / km) +783m 3:39 / km

Upgraded to the 20km for this race, had a much better field and I felt I needed a few extra km's. Came third but a much slower time (best time was 2 years ago at 1hr16') Legs felt super heavy on the hills and I just didn't have the kick I had the last 2 years but that is obvious as I am just getting back into training. Let the first 2 guys battle it out and just ran a consistent hard effort for 3rd place. Was pouring with rain and low cloud cover which made running at night on trail interesting.

Great run today, had a mix of foot path and trail with some more technical trail in the middle. Legs started to fatigue towards the end but I finished strong.

Opted to run at the race today as it's good for business to be at local races. Ran pretty controlled and let the front guys take the lead, also opted for the 15km as I missed a bit of running this week. Finished in 5th and ran a pretty controlled race.
