Running race (CrestedButte Ultra 55K) 7:13:18 [5] 34.0 mi (12:45 / mi)
shoes: Sportiva Bushido

5th place female.
14th overall out of 92.

Felt great for the first 20 miles until my legs were shot trying to keep up with the lead runners.
The most challenging part of the course was the last 10 miles or so. All incline til the finish line. I was anticipating I would maybe struggle with that last part.
I did "puke" from the effort (I think) of keeping a fast pace in the beginning and mid course.

Nutrition and hydration were otherwise on point and energy level was great overall. Gu gels and waffles every hr with water. Coke and Gatorade at Aid station.
Hydrating properly with both water and electrolytes 2 days prior works great.

I noticed that runners who finished ahead were all able to shuffle and even run at pretty fast pace (faster than my power hiking) all hills. Will need to work on that.
