Cramped 2nd hour most likely from not enough carbs. A runner offered Gatorade which picked me up. Debilitating cramp made me fall from locking up.
I also got stuck in the first 5 miles behind slower runners I couldn't pass.
Pushed too hard maybe and felt that I was over heating the entire race.
These 2 factors slowed me down quite a bit.
I otherwise felt strong.
Technical training paid off and I ran fast down the rocky descents.
No soreness at all the next day.
