ben came back from leg one and handed over to me, 1,2,3 all fine just going fairly steady. went straight for 4 which i regret as it was hard to run on the terrain and i fluffed it by like 2 mins in the circle, 5 was fine then for 6 i took the path which was much quicker, then was fine till 10 when i made a small error then i handed over to ben

British long 18L - 1st

#1 set off and was a bit bamboozled by the area especially the amount of boulders so just went steady, came into it a bit low but not bad. caught someone at #2. #3 i went straight and the guy who I caught went round, happy with my route just not the execution. i got to area where the control was and couldn't find it for the life of me. it was in a huge boulder field, after about 4 mins i found it and the guy from earlier had overtaken me. feeling pissed off i started running harder, hit the path for #4 and found it no worries. #5 was only like 20-30 meters away and couldnt find it, cost me like another min. #6 and #7 were fine. #8 decided to go straight which paid of because i was running really well on the terrain. really good control flow for #9 #10 and #11. went on the path for #12, messed up in circle like 1 min, sprinted #13 and the finish.

overall really happy with my run, some annoying mistakes when i got to the control. felt like i was running on the terrain well, had really good control flow and i took lots of accurate bearings.

happy with my result and run, even if i didn't get a fucking medal.

class ride down skiddaw and ullock, flatted twice on the decent which was a bit of a ball ache but still really really enjoyed it
