XC-Skiing 30:00
Woo-hoo - snow;-)
I've enlisted the aid of several neighbors - lined up in a row next to me. The oval I had around the yard is now expanded up through their yards too. (and everyone participating has the approval to use it as well) It's got a definite climb one direction, and an equivalent down the other way. It'll be a great place to work on the basics, mini-conditioning, and tight environments. (more like Mendon than Harriet)
The new skate skis work reasonably well. Given their age, they appear "proper" for my size / weight, but current skate skis would be 10cm shorter or so. I noticed it picking them up out of the fresh show (and hopefully that issues goes away to some extent when I'm on groomed trails) They won't be super fast skis, but they'll give me good training.
30 minutes out was enough for my legs to feel it and get re-acquainted with the skis and snow. (this also comes after 45 minutes of shoveling)
