Morning Run (pavement) 35:36 [3] 4.0 mi (8:54 / mi) +50m 8:34 / mi
shoes: Nike Air Terra Humara

Windy with a bit of slick ice on the pavement this morning. Odd issue with me left leg after 2 miles. Not the inside knee pain I'm used to at the end of the season, more on the outside. Hopefully temporary.

mile 1: 8:01
mile 2: 8:33

Headed over to Camp Eastman to check it out for the Aug 23rd Sprint and Night-O.

I think I can see ways to use it for an interesting "ROC sprint series championship"-) Given that it is small, if you think you'd be participating, please avoid that corner of the park...

As this is my first time evaluating an area for a course, it makes you look at things in a new way. No longer just how to get from point to point in the best way, but how to set up the controls to challenge the participants and give multiple route choices.

There are a limited number of nice features to use, and I'm open to any suggestions on making the most of an area... I have a map from Dec 2006 scrooge-O, and also see the area was used for 2007's icebreaker.

I don't really intend to update the map, but there are several changes to the map that ought to be made. I see that as the "minor updates to map" comments that one comes across here and there;-)
