Getting better - able to extend the time / counts of each a little.

XC-Skiing 48:30 [3] 6.5 km (7:28 / km)

3x1k at 6 minutes with 1 minute in between, 2 at 7m with 1m, and a final close to 6m. Tacked on .5k with the classic skis as a warm down.

XC-Skiing 52:30 [3] 8.0 km (6:34 / km)

Was able to re-establish the XC loop through our yards. The heavy stuff underneath is a nice base, and the grainy snow on top packed well. Hope it can stay through the 2 day warmup...

Did a little experiment - right leg V1 is strongest / fastest, next is diagonal V, and Left V1 is slowest. Interesting to see how I degrade into diagonal V when tired... Also interesting to me that V1 right was faster than diagonal V even though it "felt" slower. Early loops were at an 8m/k rate, sped up through 7 and sub 6 as the trail became faster.

Well I thought I would do them daily, but soreness prevented me from doing that yesterday. (so yes, it reinforces the weakness in my legs, and seems to be the right set of exercises...-)
