Orienteering race (Ski-O) 1:22:00 [5] ***
spiked:10/10c

Enjoyed the Ski-O at Mendon with Winterfest. Not sure if the course was easy or my skills were on, but no issues navigationally. I did find out how lacking my XC strength is as I just didn't have much in me for this effort.

XC-Skiing 45:00 [4]

Randy suggested we head out for some skiing since it was going to be an hour before control collecting time, and I said yes.... Headed over to the other side of the pond and tooled around on the nicer trails for a bit.

Probably better for him than sitting around, but not quite a workout of any sort given my depleted condition.

And then the trifecta - collecting a half dozen controls. I didn't attempt to do anything other than move around in a circuit and collect them. I had several snow-shoe-O controls and following their path through the woods was easy enough but slow.

I did do it as a memory-O and didn't look at the map after leaving the hut, so that was at least a positive thing.

XC-Skiing 23:25 [3] 2.2 km (10:39 / km) +40m 9:45 / km

A little track setting time to get back on the skis. Seemed to have a left knee twinge after the double-ski day, and was resting it. No issues in the short trip today. 6:00, 5:54, 5:49, 5:42
