Ellison Park Trail Challenge.
Enjoyed the run through the park. Three errors worth noting. On the way to 3, I climbed to the right of the main trail up, and drifted too far to the right. 9 to 10 I took the submerged road - it ended up being ok, but wet. To 15, I took the unmapped re-entrant that appeared about at the right pace count, and looked like it could be a creek-bed... Definitely an error, but I can understand it. GPS shows this to be about a 2 minute error.

Splits up - yup, they say I was off on 3 and 15...
Interesting - top times on 4 and 5, and an explanation of sorts.
As I was getting back to the control at 3, a boatload of people passed me. I went from 3rd place to 9th... I knew I hustled to 4. (something about blowing a control always seems to give you motivation on the next control - and I had a rest at the top of the hill getting settled)
Anyway - I was planning to hunt down those people that passed me.
I passed one guy going up the hill to 5, but never saw anyone else. I mean never even saw... I had wondered what happened to the pack of them...
Splits show I was back in third place by control 4!
They had all gone astray after running past me on the way to 4. I expect the one in the lead took a mis-turn and they all followed - because I didn't see _any_ of them;-)
The guy I passed on the way to my 5 must have been on the 4km course...

Able to retrace 2-3-4-10-F for flag pickup.
Got the angle up the hill to 3 properly, and it would have been a good win. I'd make the same choice again.
Ok - it was 4:30 to retrace 2-3 versus the 5:27 in the race (and that was after I had raced for 53 minutes!). That drifting was a 60 second error. (ooch)
