Running tempo (failed attempt at 3k) 13:03 [4] 3.0 km (4:21 / km)
ahr:182 max:194

First K was on pace, but knew from before I started that I was unlikely to do very well.
Struggled to breath properly, just found I wasn't getting the oxygen I needed and felt like I would pass out during the last lap.
I don't think it is a loss of fitness.
I have been feeling really crappy all week, just haven't had the energy levels to do anything really. Likely to be low iron levels.
Finished the 3k anyway but just left it at that rather than doing the extra intervals I was thinking of doing.

Running warm up/down 12:00 [2] 2.2 km (5:27 / km)

Orienteering (UoA night sprint training) 21:30 [3] 3.8 km (5:39 / km) +90m 5:04 / km

A lot harder to do in the dark, dodging people and cars, trying to read the map with the torch glare, trying not to trip down any stairs or over any uneven ground.
But regardless was pretty cool and heaps of fun.
Had a few little errors and hesitations and route choice mistakes.

Running warm up/down 16:30 [2] 3.0 km (5:30 / km) +30m 5:14 / km

Orienteering race (Butlers Bush - JWOC trial) 45:17 [4] 3.2 km (14:09 / km) +140m 11:37 / km

Other than control 6 where I wasn't 100% confident with the navigation and control 4 where I got tangled up in a mass of bush lawyer which ripped me to pieces through my clothes, the rest of the course wasn't too bad.
Underfoot it was absolute crap, and where the forest was supposed to be white it was harder to get through than the green forest.
Really pleased with the Navigation, just wish I could have gone a bit faster through it all.
Again though mentally wasn't with it and found myself distracted a bit.
Didn't seem to affect the navigation though, maybe just the aggression and strength of getting through the course.
