Saturday Feb 15 #

Great day out at Vale of Ewyas supporting Michael and Leah on a very wet day. Amazing effort by them both to make it around in good times.

Friday Feb 14 #

Cycling 30:00 [3] 12.0 km (2:30 / km)

Home before the storm hit. Wishing good luck to Michael and Leah tomorrow in the Welsh Mountains.

Thursday Feb 13 #

Orienteering 1:27:00 [3] 10.5 km (8:17 / km)

Stockhill Brown Course from start of Feb.

Only third day of the year with a map in hand so trying to shake off the cobwebs. Decided to go out today as the forecast looked a lot better and could give my hands a full rest.

A real pleasure to be running through the terrain, a lot easier than the paths which were very muddy. Lacking some precision in the circle and made sure that I was in the right place at every control.

Discovered that the Belgium Night Champs coincide with my work trip to Belgium in March. Time to get in some relevant training.

Wednesday Feb 12 #

Cycling 30:00 [3] 12.0 km (2:30 / km)

In/out RSI flareup in wrists despite two days off at weekend.

Running 41:00 [3] 6.2 km (6:37 / km)

Return to Eastville Slopes. Mostly single track and steep descents. Really love the path along the top of the crags so did it three times.

Not feeling too unfit despite time off. Hopefully some orienteering at the weekend.

Tuesday Feb 11 #

Running 31:00 [3] 5.7 km (5:26 / km)

Run into work, the "nice" way via Greenbank and Riverside. Happenings included getting beeped at by a man on a bike and some kids on the school run having a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious-off.

Foot quite sore during the morning but ok in the afternoon. Just need to find the tight muscles I think.

Cycling 15:00 [3] 6.0 km (2:30 / km)

Home, unusually many cars on my roads. Light enough now at 5:30.

Monday Feb 10 #

Cycling 15:00 [3] 6.0 km (2:30 / km)

In, hot and tropical, which gave way to a huge storm at lunch time.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 10.17 km (5:54 / km)

A birthday Leigh Woods loop with Ben, Megan, Mark, Alice and a special guest, Dan the results man. Don't think I have ever seen the woods this muddy, mistake not bringing a change of shoes for the birthday pizza afterwards.
