First Deeside squad in Torphins

Started off with a short (5min run round the courts a few times doing stretches etc on the way round.) Still getting back into things but felt a lot better today ie actually getting the ball in the court..... Focus of the lesson was to work on accuracy. We started off by playing in the tram lines then aiming for cones on the court, kind of alternating between cross court and down the line. Spent the last 30 mins playing doubles before finishing early cuz of the rain.

First tennis session in 8 weeks!

Was in the younger group because there isn't enough space on the Torphins courts while the Aboyne ones are being redone for all of the older ones. Felt pretty bad throughout mainly because I was just getting back into things, remembering how to hit the ball etc wasn't really a focus on the lesson just a bit of everything.

Deeside runners at Glen Tannar

3 2x1s along the 'flat' to the base of the rough track to the top of Boudy Meg. We then did 7 1x1s up the track to about the 400m mark. We then did 2 1x1s down the other more direct track. Overall a tough but fun session.

Trying to run up Mortlich

We started off from the house,down the Deeside way and along to the Auchinhove road (catching mum who'd started earlier all the way) We then headed up the big track to the base of the other 'track'. Knowing that it was usually quite bad I didn't have very high hopes as we set of into the head high gorse, bracken and broom-grim. Mum decided that we should keep going on in the hope that it would get better..... Having taken an eternity to get through we just went back down the main usually nice track only to realise that it was in a similar state. After another 15 mins we finally got down to the loch and then back along the Deeside way.
