Monday Jul 24, 2017 #

Running 25:00 [3] 5.0 km (5:00 / km)

did a bit over 5km with 2;30 running and 30sec walk breaks to warm up the shin for the day

Strength 30:00 [3]

did core and arm strength as well as some good stretching and rolling

Running 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)

leg was feeling good on this run. Stopped at the farmers market for the end of my run got a wrap for dinner and a date square for dessert.

nice easy 6km run in the morning

nice run in the afternoon with the old man. My shin was bugging me by the end of it.

Saturday Jul 22, 2017 #

finally able to run! did 15min wu then did 40 x's on the soccer field (hard diagonals and jog recovery on the straights) then did a 15min cool down. I took a break after 30 to massage the shin a little because it was getting stiff but felt good for the most part. No pain today just a little stiff and bruised muscle soreness.

Did another walk run today and was feeling pretty good I still did walk breaks to give the shin some rest but the running segments were significantly longer than they were last night. The way back was better than the way there.

So I attempted to bike to hamilton to meet up with my cousin but I got caught in three different rain storms. My body and muscles got extremely cold and everything was starting to seize up. I decided with 20km left to not pursue the rest of the journey because I didn't want to end up with a knee injury from biking when running is the priority. I went for Thai food and must have looked quite odd walking in my barefoot at he restaurant because my feet and shoes were so wet and cold. My body forgot what it felt like to feel warmth for the 2hrs coming home on the go train.

Did some walking and jogging to let my body know that the running motion is okay. My shin was feeling better today but still not great. Body was also very tired from the ride earlier

Just some aerobic effort on the elliptical the shin was the worst today and the knees were slightly sore on the elliptical

Went for a nice ride along the lakeshore

Did 20mins of tempo effort on the elliptical. The shin was not happy with the 40mins of continuous running on Monday
