Today I was excited to race and there were lots of old friends around. The field was deep and small so I knew I was going to have to work hard. The gun went off and I immediately started to freak out. I don't yet have the fastest start so I was already at the back of the field. My mind then went to focus on how I wanted to do for the people watching and my perception of effort went way up. It felt like I as working hard because I told myself I was working hard and focused more on the pain than using the people around me. I told kip "I feel awful" midway through the race to validate the crappy way I was running. This was an unfortunate way to end the season but it makes me hungry to do better next year and work hard to not let those thoughts pop into my head. I need to learn from where I focused my mind and energy and make an effort everyday to not go into that same thought process.

Woke up tired by after I got going I was feeling good. My inner right ankle was a bit sore off the start but once it warmed up it was feeling good. Getting excited to go for it this weekend!

Today was good. I am feeling a bit worn down with school but I put that aside and focused on the workout. The tempo felt strong the intervals were challenging. I need to work on top end. Looking forward to the weekend!!!

Today was great! I got a good sleep, had lots of energy and focus. Throughout the workout I kept pushing and focusing on the current moment and what I needed to get done. HR got to 27, I was happy with the effort today. Out of the pool had a main focus of form and effort.

Today was good, got going right at the start. Worked hard to really surge and focused on not allowing myself to settle during the steadies. I think I could've gone a little harder though, I finished in the mid-range of a monday effort. My arms were tired during dit and push and I only got to 35 pushups, but I pushed by the core by keeping the legs low and slow.

Long run was good went over to shuniah and actually found my way out on time! It was absolutely stunning out today! There is no way I would be able to run in a place as beautiful as centennial back home! Hips were a little tight at the start but by the end I was able roll it down.

In the afternoon did calf exercises and ice bath with Hailee and rebek’s.
