Today went well. I was happy to cross the line and not here "forty". This was a PB but sadly it was not as fast as I had wanted. I made sure not to waste physical and emotional energy in the first half of the race and really tried to make my last km the best km. I dig deep for the last lap but once I crossed the finish I realized I probably could have put myself through more discomfort earlier, but this is a learning process. I finished feeling pretty tired but not the most spent I've felt. In the middle I was scared to go for it and didn't make some moves. 2 girls passed me that I probably could've hung with considering I got one of them back in the last lap, but when they went by I was too focused and worried about saving something for the end. Overall though I was happy with the race. I came back from two crappy races and made this my best 3km yet.

Nice go on the elliptical, still not the hugest fan of it, but it builds mental strength to doing things you don't want to do.

Nice run through hospital trails. The legs were feeling tired and heavy at the start but once I got to the trail the scenery took my mind off of it and allowed me just to run. Ended with hip mobility, stretching, and an ice bath.

Really good workout today. After a rough workout last week today went a lot better. My mind was in a better place despite still having a lot of school work hanging over my head. I was able to put it behind me and focus on the workout. I made sure to make the last set my best set since that’s the goal for the weekend, make my last km the best one. The 200s were fun I made sure to smile.

6 mins of swimming and kicking
Drills
2x (90, 75, 60, 45, 30 ,15)
Deep end running till 45

Today i woke up feeling tired and stressed. I was feeding the bad wolf and then told myself to snap out of it because focusing on it was only going to make it worse. During swimming I had a bit of an anxiety attack. I was having issues breathing which exasperates it. I found some strength after he 6mins and was able to actually enjoy the workout. HR got to 29 and I felt like I was able to push myself, the first 2 of the second set felt strong and relaxed but maybe to relaxed? Although I need to focus on expending as little unnecessary energy as possible at the start so I was thinking about that and still trying to feel fast.

Today was good it was definitely challenging but that’s good. My stomach was bugging me which it has been doing lately but i tried to not focus on it. Definitely had the fart part of fartlek. I found the shorter intervals challenging after pushing the long ones. I am getting better at pushing myself and realizing when I am backing into comfort and what i know.

Sunday Feb 11 #

8 PM

Running 1:32:00 [3] 18.4 km (5:00 / km)

Preact
92min long run
Hip mobility
stretch

This was definitely a character builder. I'm so grateful to have maxie and beks to have. The run went well all things considered. I tried to have a light dinner, but then got back to my room and used the bathroom and became super hungry so I had some leftover pizza and I had cramps throughout the whole run. Had to stop in the bathroom when I dropped off Maxie and Beks. I was so tired and had lots of work to do so I prioritized sleep for recovery.
