Decent race today. I kept reminding myself that I can still run well even if my foot is a bit sore. I got in the race and was working with some ladies for about 1-2km then I pulled ahead and was running on my own. Two masters men went by and I didn’t stick with them. I had to keep brining my mind back to eyes up and competing from fixating on the discomfort or that I should be up with rob or that I should’ve just done the 5k because I would be done by now. Today definitely involved more focus to push and stay in it. I ran hard but at points flight myself. I am looking forward to the next 10k where there will be 10,000 runners. Lots of people to use and run down.

Good workout. I saw Jo today and she released my foot which made it feel a lot better, it perfect, but I don’t need to feel perfect. Enjoyed the weather. Pushed today but I still had some stuff left at the end. The masters were our so I would run them down when I could. I found out Rob will be racing the 10k at the June classic so that is exciting. During the cool down I fet a bit rough and miscalculated the route.

Ran on some random road in Cochrane. Half was one gravel through farms and trees so I was happy about the scenery. My foot was better this morning than it has been. My calves were a bit tight though. Rolled them in the car with my roller.

This was on okay workout. My foot better than it did after Saturday’s shakeout. I had to keep reminding myself that I can run well while a little banged up. My legs felt a bit heavy from the bike yesterday, but I made an effort to focus on the effort. Had to keep telling myself I am doing this because I enjoy it and this is making me better. Had a beautiful sunrise to watch in the morning. Iced my foot before we left and contrast bathed my foot at the hotel.

I woke up and my foot was still bothersome so I decided to go for a Ike ride instead today. Did lots of recovery stuff throughout the morning and it started to feel better. Biked to kakabeka then ended with riding around town to hillcrest and the marina. Foot feels better post bike.
