Good run today. It was a hot one just like the last few days have been. I ran over to point pleasant park to meet up with a local running group for their workout. I missed the official start but there were a lot of them so it was not hard to hop in. Ran with some really nice ladies, got in a good effort but nothing crazy. Did cool down with them around town and didn’t realize how long I was going until I was at 1:30 and still a decent way from home. I embraced the suck and enjoyed the run and the heat.

I was pooped from the day but I want to build the habit of going for doubles on saturdays so I went for a short run over to the commons and did some loops on the grass. Ended with core and stretching.

Shakeout from the house. Ran over to the commons and through the gardens which I got kicked out of because it is a walking around and smelling the flowers garden not a running around garden. I was a little bummed by this because it was all soft surfaces.

Ran over to long lake provincial park and got to explore some trails. Pretty technical but gorgeous. Got a little lost on the way there but two guys helped me out.

My alarm went off at 5:45 and I wanted to stay in bed instead of get up and get going. My neighbours were being loud in the backyard until 2am so I didn’t get a good sleep. Despite wanting to stay in bed I got up mediated and out the door for my run. Ran over to hospital trails. It was a bit of a bop today and I was having trouble being okay with being a little hungry on the run.

Good workout today. Swim was a little slower than normal. I think I need to spend some more time in the pool. I felt like I was going pretty hard on the intervals but my HR was only 25. I also need to spend more time working on the k drill and getting my foot over the opposite knee.
