Note
(sick)

Throat still sore. Got around mapping a bit more on my sprint map. Now I just need someone who can do a little bit of revising of the map as I still haven't gotten my ass out of the desk chair ;)

Note
(sick)

Bad throat, really tired.

Spent most of the day planning for the new house. I think we have found our floor now :)

Now I just need a place to store 1 ton of floor until the middle of June :)

Middle distance training in Mamslätt
A forest that has been unused for the last years. The map is getting very old and in some places the vegetation and other features lack the correctness that you nowadays expect from a map. Overall a nice area that really needs a total map overhaul.

Still felt the backside of my thigh so speed was quite moderate in order to keep everything ok. Rode my bike back and from the training instead of running which was the initial plan.

Running warm up/down 32:00 [3] 7.0 km (4:34 / km)
shoes: Asics GEL Magic Racer IV

Running tempo 36:40 [4] 10.0 km (3:40 / km)
ahr:164 max:172 shoes: Asics GEL Magic Racer IV

Joined Martinsson for his pre-Göteborgsvarvet-training, which meant 10k at a nice (high) steady pace. The goal was to go at an even 3'30" / k. I felt some pain on the lower backside of the thigh on the warm up and I hoped it would go away once we got going.

We got off to a bit of an eager start and the first k was a bit fast. At around 2k we ran up a small hill and I started getting problems with my thigh. I tried to tag along but it got increasingly more difficult and shortly thereafter I dropped the speed somewhat and just tried to go the distance without breaking anything. Overall a really good training and I could use atleast one of these trainings every week.

Note: Afterwards the pain has increased in the thigh and I will probably have to rethink my long run tomorrow.

Strength 10:00 [3]

Core strength training this time without squats.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [3] 5.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

Running trail/forest hills 11:10 [5] 2.9 km (3:51 / km)
ahr:166 max:174 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

Back-8:an (580 m), 1'15"-1'18" of rest in between

It felt really easy and I hardly got tired in the muscles instead after about 2 intervals my throat started acting up and by the 5th interval it felt like I was breathing through a small straw. It felt like I didn't get any air at all and I had to abort. My theory involves eating peanuts just before going to the training. Maybe I am a bit sensitive to nuts... Will have to investigate a bit into this :(

My splits:
2'13", 2'12", 2'13", 2'15", 2'18"
