At the start Ptr and Dryml turned up and I got some company around the course. Ptr had some problems with his shoes and stopped at the 2nd control. I pushed on with Dryml on my tail until the 6th control. After that I was solo for a while until I made a big mistake going to the 9th control. Got stuck in some shitty terrain and eventually got out onto the meadow far far away from my plan. Dryml passed me here and I chased him for a few controls until he took a bad route and I passed him. Ptr had joined me at the 9th control so from there it was a race again with all 3 in the mix. With just 2 controls left we took drastically different route choices but ended up together at the second last control and Ptr and me raced each other for the last control and then the finish. I showed him no mercy and took an easy win!

We lost Dryml somewhere on the last 3 controls....

There was a good 3-4 decimeters of snow in the terrain which made it a lot more challenging physically. I was really tired going into some controls and made some really silly mistakes.

F#cked up the start and starter off with 2 maps and had to turn back and leave a map. No problems with the first controls. Was thinking about going around the marsh but hesitated and went straight through. Lost some time there but not that much. Small mistake on the 7th control almost stopped early. A few nice route choice controls after 8th control. Bad exit from the 12 control and lost some time. Starter to get really tired and made a huge mistake to the 16th control where I started to run to the 1st control. Realized the mistake before running to far. Probably lost 20+ seconds.

Overall a good race without any big mistake. Got really tired after the 9th control and felt that I lost speed and focus.

The usual forest intervals in Vallaskogen. There were plenty of snow which slowed us down a bit, but Dryml gave me good sparring. I managed to create a small gap on the last two :)

Snow shoveling... a lot! First a took a 30' session on my own driveway and then I got into the car and drove to Malmslätt. Picked up my brother on the way and continued on to do 90' of shoveling in Malmslätt... Not so easy stuff... 10-40 cm of snow and no powder :(

Snow shoveling on my driveway... Freaking huge amount of snow keeps falling from the sky... really annoying. Actually changed into training clothes and almost got my watch and heart rate monitor with me out. Completely exhausted and a bit cold after the "training" I thought that I would get warm by taking a nice hot shower. NOT! Someone decided to turn off the hot water in half of Linköping. So I took a short and really cold shower instead :(
