Easy w/yesterdays Tyler map. I noticed on all my major mistakes I pull massively to the right on long leg bearings. That includes races at Burnt Mountain and Quantico. How do you correct that? And starts are a major problem. Easily lost 3 mins yesterday. Didn't see the path straight to number 1.
Always an issue starts. This time I even forgot to epunch the start.

Frustrating 1,3,7,9,14,16 all had 1 to 2 mins of mistakes. 1,3 and was route choice and vegetation. 7, I was standing on it and couldn't see it. 14, I ran to the wrong control (fatigue) and 16 I just cobbled it together to get to the finish.
Probably 2nd. James Lyne(M30) from London??? beat me by 6 mins. I'm sure he had a hat full of mistakes too. Definitely still not fit enough. I struggled on all the hills.
The start was a bad omen the vegetation killed me on 1. My exit from 2 was way off. Should have been more direct. 14, I've now realised, was a 3 min mistake. I went 200m from the control looking for a white control. WTF??
