Chalk Ridge Falls. No competition today but I needed to get some map work in. 1st control on the wrong boulder so lost 14mins. 15th was located in the Falls area which my eyes can't focus on 10mins on this. Otherwise things went OK. Sometimes I was slow entering control circles but otherwise fairly happy.

Slow and steady, couldn't sleep so got it done early. To be honest it was torture. Very humid.

Knackered, but best I've felt since last Saturday. Tried Gigsy's 10K threshold Sufferfest. Out for 16mins @85% back in 14mins. Just guessed 85% and bonked. Back in 16:25!!! I went out at 153bpm. I now think it should have been 146bpm. Back was 163bpm. BUT I feel much better for it. Nobody's entered the Red at Chalk Falls but I need as much experience as possible. Very nervous about snakes. It's heated up considerably and I saw a 3ft cottonmouth on the Hike and Bike today. The humidity is unbelievable at the moment.

Bayou easy w/ Mt.Tom Map. Discovered more route choice errors 4-5 & 5-6. Maybe 11-12 also. I can see now how others put a ton more time on me on these legs. Always good to run with the map in hindsight of the race. The heat/humidity was brutal today. Knee has been really bothersome of late. Right lateral ligament.

With Martin at TRG. Felt rough. Every route was a chore. Things aren't sitting right with me at the moment.

Bayou Run. Things weren't terrible but I think I've got some mild virus. Had to sleep most of the day. Kendal is off school throwing. I just don't feel right.
