Running 1:08:06 [3] 15.29 km (4:27 / km) +23m 4:25 / km
ahr:150 max:174

2x15mins Threshold + 4x1k. Slower than last weeks debacle but then last week I didn't finish the workout.
k splits 4:14, 4:05, 4:14, 3:56. The storm helped a ton. Not sure why on the last 15mins HR spiked over 168. Never felt I was overreaching at all during run. First time since England I've reached a pace below 7:20 (excluding Harriers workouts when its ridiculously early and you just get dragged along by the mass). Still didn't feel great, although knee was much improved. Belly full of Breaky.

(rest day)

Another rest day. Knee is knacking. So much that when I nana napped this afternoon it woke me up. RML.

Running 1:22:38 [3] 16.63 km (4:58 / km) +3m 4:58 / km
ahr:131 max:141

A thoroughly arduous run. Torture. Rolled ankle at 6 miles. Stomach issues early on. But fortunately didn't escalate. Just didn't feel it this morning. The question now is rest or sneak a threshold session in before work tomorrow morning? Rest and sleep sounds much more alluring.

Running 31:33 [3] 6.46 km (4:53 / km) +5m 4:52 / km
ahr:132 max:146

Very easy around West U. Wish the knee would sort itself out. Then I'd be flying. Or feel like I was.

Note

It actually came into my head at 5 that Andis was on Blue. And yep....sure enough. What a fool. Need to focus on my game...nobody else’s.

Orienteering 1:17:51 [3] 10.52 km (7:24 / km) +330m 6:24 / km
ahr:133 max:155

More the same as yesterday. I was planning on just concentrating on running clean. But at the start Andis (in front) and Tom (behind) showed up. So I thought lets give this ago. Stupid idea.
Andis went off in the wrong direction from the fence so when I went off I thought I'd catch him. When I got to 1 I couldn't find it. Andis came blasting past so I thought I was wrong and so I ran off into oblivion. Eventually got back to 1 just to make an horrific 90 degree error. From that put on I just jogged round pissed off.
At least the first 2 days were positive. Back to the drawing board. No more O until nationals so I've no idea where the technical improvement will come from.
Great weekend with the bairns. Kendal won (only competitor) but she's comfortable going out on her own. So now Eadie can get some attention. Hopefully next time we're here it'll be a national championships. Lovely spot to visit.
