Feel rotten today. Got a virus. Watched Hardmoors Marathon at Hawnby then climbed with the girls for a short while at Peak Scar. Damp but not too many nettles. Major accident on Helmsley/Stokesley road meant a long detour through Osmotherley on way home.

Felt marginally better this evening. Dragged the bairns out into the woods to check control sites for CLOK's summer evening event. 4 need to be moved. Either don't exist or impenetrable vegetation. I was pleasantly surprised at how runnable some areas are. Bumped into the Ex at the car. Another good catch up.

Hills with a bit of terrain. Woke up with something in the background. Nasal cavity didn't feel great. Ran way too close after Tea. Had to do a U turn back for the Netty. Ruined this run. Horrible weather today.

Easy to Belmangate then along the bottom ride to Hutton Village. I felt fantastic tonight. I was tempted to push it, but kept it easy. No sign of yesterday's run or festivities of last night's match.

Up early to make up for yesterday's debacle. Easy up to Westworth, Highcliffe, Sleddale, Capt. Cook's, Little Roseberry, Percy Rigg and down to Yew Tree. Fantastic weather this morning. Legs took a pounding on the decents. DOMS already.

I had a funny feeling about tonight. I'd rested all day (basically wasted the day) for tonight, but as we left to go to Ossy Oiks Fell race I thought I bet they want mandatory kit tonight because it's cloudy. Got there and caguole and whistle was required. Britain is a nanny state. What a load of BS. I should have ran the course before they started, but didn't think. Went to The Sutton Arms instead for a pint.
On a positive, they changed the course so no course route choice was allowed. That's really why I liked this race. It didn't always go in my favour but I liked that edge to it. So didn't miss that.

Easy up Hutton & Guisborough Woods with Daz. Not been on a bike for 9 months so bailed in a couple of places. Some canny new trails put in at the Belmont end. Another good catch up. Lots to chat about.
