Sunday Jun 16 #

Note
(rest day)

Travel day, Could and probably should have ran. But although I don't feel tired I took it off cos....well.....cos. On a side note. Mr. Bean's Maigret is a very good watch.

Saturday Jun 15 #

8 AM

Running 48:12 [3] 8.87 km (5:26 / km) +195m 4:54 / km
ahr:125 max:161

Intervals at the foot of The Bump. Probably gave myself too much rest in between each. Don't feel I worked hard enough, but they're done. Stunning morning. North Sea was like a pond. Nice to watch the crabbers setting their pots while running.

Friday Jun 14 #

6 AM

Running 30:02 [3] 6.97 km (4:18 / km) +53m 4:09 / km
ahr:138 max:147

Easy to Epping and back. No rain! Well, maybe a little bit.
5 PM

Running 36:40 [3] 6.85 km (5:21 / km) +45m 5:11 / km
ahr:135 max:149

All change in Norfolk. Cracking weather here. Late afternoon blast on the flint beach from Beeston Bump towards Cromer and back. Then 9 holes on West Runton Golf course. Prior to all this, took the crazies down Grimes Graves. Not been there since I was 6. Still as captivating as ever. Someone should map the place. Great place for a race.

Thursday Jun 13 #

4 PM

Running 48:02 [3] 9.91 km (4:51 / km) +132m 4:33 / km
ahr:135 max:145

Up and around the Fort. On to Greensted, up to Toot Hill and back to the Fort. Wet, cool......fantastic. Easy. Intervals planned for Beeston Bump tomorrow or Saturday. Weather has been terrible, but I've enjoyed it. Took bairns into London earlier to get their yearly fix of Hamley's.

Wednesday Jun 12 #

9 AM

Running 58:42 [3] 11.31 km (5:11 / km) +231m 4:43 / km
ahr:136 max:151

Easy from Warden Hills to Barton and back. Cool damp day. Beautiful. Saw my old football stomping ground for 4 years.
Still a ton of crud in my chest.
4 PM

Running 42:08 [3] 8.06 km (5:14 / km) +98m 4:56 / km
ahr:134 max:150

Cheeky damp cool run before a curry with Martin. Up to Redoubt Fort down to Greensted Green. The brussel sprout fields left me running like Chewy. Shoes weighed twice my beer belly.

Tuesday Jun 11 #

Note
(rest day)

Travel to Luton to see Lee. Took the bairns via Dalby Forest to zip line. Fantastic morning and the weather held off. Not been there since I orienteered as a kid. Lovely. Went past Sneaton (next years JK). If it's owt like Dalby it'll be magic.

Monday Jun 10 #

10 AM

Orienteering 10:56 [3] 1.31 km (8:21 / km) +41m 7:14 / km
ahr:114 max:141

Jog out with the girls.

Orienteering 51:21 [3] 8.41 km (6:06 / km) +244m 5:20 / km
ahr:129 max:152

Course checking for next week. Very easy. Short 11:30. Medium 22:30. 5:45 on the leg across the OB taking the Woods route.
Still got a chest infection.
7 PM

Orienteering 53:01 [3] 8.88 km (5:58 / km) +261m 5:12 / km
ahr:140 max:158

Steady around the Long. 36:40. The route across the OB via the farm is 2:30 longer. Took some non optimum routes just to get some terrain running in. Area in Thomas' Wood is sweet.
Weather is turning for the worse here. Next few days are going to be tricky to get training in with travel.
