Sunday Aug 18 #

3 PM

Running 14:06 [3] 2.38 km (5:56 / km) +15m 5:45 / km
ahr:151 max:166

Jogged to Maddie and Lewy's for a lift with a belly full of tacos and beer. Very tired and sore toes after finishing up the walk. Might need a rest tomorrow ....yikes.

Saturday Aug 17 #

Not really a rest day, but I'm not logging hiking. Took the bairns on the Sneffels Highline over two days. Incredible.

Friday Aug 16 #

9 AM

Running 2:28:29 [3] 19.32 km (7:41 / km) +1010m 6:06 / km
ahr:159 max:189

As easy as I could make this, but ultimately this was tough. HR was again like a thermometer in Houston. There were patches around the Wasatch connection that I became a tad light headed when I was trying to scout out the switchbacks going over Wasatch. Managed to run the whole route only stopping at San Sophia (Gondola) for the water fountain. Bewt of a day again.
Town Park, Bear Creek, Wasatch Trail to connection. Topped out at the saddle of Revelation Bowl. Back via See Forever and Telluride Trail.

Thursday Aug 15 #

(rest day)

Didn't need this, but I took it off.

Wednesday Aug 14 #

9 AM

Running 1:22:08 [3] 13.84 km (5:56 / km) +356m 5:15 / km
ahr:158 max:179

Easy.....but HR was through the roof today. From house down to Aldisoro Trail. Then up to Deep Creek Trailhead and back via the road. Fantastic run from the house. Another great day weather wise. Don't want to but may take day off tomorrow. Going to add some speed work back in next week.

Tuesday Aug 13 #

Another extremely annoying thing I've noticed is I cannot run for more than 5 mins without stopping to take in the magnificent vistas at every bend. Not sure how I'm going to avoid this.
9 AM

Running 53:36 [3] 8.62 km (6:13 / km) +192m 5:36 / km
ahr:162 max:183

Very easy exploring. (Although HR was through the roof.) Parked at Deep Creek Trailhead and took in Whipple Mt. to Iron Mt. spur. Weather was most obliging.

Monday Aug 12 #

So far since I've been here I've noticed there are way too many Aspen trees and I do wish the temperature wouldn't fluctuate between 65 and 75F all the time. It's sooooo annoying.
10 AM

Running 45:32 [3] 8.06 km (5:39 / km) +268m 4:51 / km
ahr:134 max:148

Dropped the bairns off at footie camp and took it easy from town park to Bear Creek and back. What a day!!!! Kendal spewed solid for 5 mins due to altitude. She felt like crap.
