Easy....mad DOMS. I’m guessing I don’t like tarmac. Legs were in bits this morning. Probably last run in shorts and T of the year.

Smashed this, 2 mile warm up, 4 miles threshold. Under 7min/mile pace. One of those 6:02. Easiest threshold run ever. Just cruised, no pain. Down to Manhattan bridge and back.

Easy down East River NYC. Felt great, but HR was high. Fresh morning. Think I’ve put over 10lbs on while Jono was here. Time to knuckle down.

Note
(rest day)

Littlest threw a shitstorm, so no Monarch Skiing on the way to NYC. Grrrrrr. Still things got better.

This is progress. Never ever gone this far on Skate. Admittedly Valley Floor, but The Golf Course was obviously a big push towards improvement. 3 miles were under 8mins/mile and more would have been hadn't the snow in the shadow been sticky as Winona Ryder's fingers. Pleased I managed to keep the breathing down.

Alpine Skiing 1:15:00 [3]

Finished up the last of the current house project. Then squeezed in some mountain time. Town side was way too cold, so I bailed for an early pint. I was reminded numerously that cold temps are good for snow. (Not good for my finger tips though.)
Got myself an updated version of Alex Honnold's book, after TalkSPORT recommended it. Must but good if they recommend a non-Football book.

Followed the tip off from Bill The Neighbour and headed to the golf course.....This was sublime. Pristine groomed for everyone to enjoy. I've never XC skied on anything like it, Skate or Classic. I was shattered by the end. Perfect for the time I had. Tomorrow more Alpine to make up for what I didn't do today.
Electric Ian showed up today and solved my problem in 5mins. Really good lad. More than happy in humanity.
