Note
Took the bairns to a XC meet in Mancos today. What a great place to Orienteer. NF land too. Open undulating pine with scattered stunted oak. Seemed like an abundance of features (mostly man made knolls in our area). Apparently the Nordic is great here.

From the house to Ophir wall and back home. Toughest bit was the descent down Sunshine Trail. Was a bit sceptic about clipping in down and it drained me. All good though.
Last two days I've been fuming over the $18,000 (double this figure with NYC) we gave the Federal government. If only we were Billionaires and didn't have to worry about the Public School system, Defense, Public Transport, Roads, Medicaid, Public Lands.......then I realised Socialism is for Suckers and Losers (I jest). If my bairns were older I'd leave this "shithole" country (and live in Ireland, not Boris's cluster).
If you're reading this (obviously this excludes Turets) you understand where I'm coming from. Throughly disappointed with the 46.7% that think stealing from such a formerly great country is great.
