(rest day)

Travel day. Stayed outside Williams AZ. Kaibab NF looks like Trump has personally raked it. Beautiful forest. Secret trip to Durango resulted in another sleepless night.

Easy in Illium with Jeremie. Another poor nights sleep. Feeling rough all day. That's three days in a row.

Note

Another poor nights sleep. This time it was due to having to stay up until 1am to proof read Eadie's project. Eadie showed me her shambles at 9pm, so she had to re-do the whole thing. Tired, but it was all positive in the end.
3 PM

Running 51:01 [3] 9.67 km (5:17 / km) +86m 5:03 / km

3x10mins. Felt pretty shitty today. Just off. Legs felt a bit fresher though. Full on thaw going on here.
NB. Did this after shoveling gravel for two hours in the carpark. Listened to the Poland game. Finished with a BBQ over at Maddie and Lewy's.

Last ski of the season!!! Planned to do Alpine, but I didn't trust myself, so put that off for another six months. Crazy snow today. It's all melting fast, but at 10:45 everything was skiable. Not just the pisted trails. People were skating literally everywhere. And fast. The fastest I've ever seen people travel in the flesh on skate skis. And these people weren't particularly good. They just flew. Typically I fell over on a bare patch, but it was worth every penny. Cracker of a day.
NB. Got a strange, rather embarrassing email from an old PE teacher today asking for a sporting bio of my orienteering feats.......(Crickets)......My old high school is putting a book together of Old Boys' (Alumni in American) sporting prowess. In my year alone we had Pro Cricketers, Rugby Players, Footballers, a European Sailing Champion (Topper), a lad who won the equestrian at Modern Pentathlon and came 7th in the National Épeé Championships. In other years we had a Jockey that won the Grand National, several Olympians and the school is close to 70 years old.
The fact I hadn't done it since 1990 made for short reading. But I was flattered none the less.

Easy on the road in Illium. Brutal on the knee. Back to back days seem to be a problem. Maybe more turbo required if/when I try two a days.
NB. My dislike for Trump is now refocusing on Nicola Sturgeon. She's definitely not my cup of tea. I'd guess at the moment more English want Scotland to do one than the Scottish. Nice to see Alba and SNP are about to tear each other apart though.
