Sunday Feb 19 #

5 PM

Running 31:20 [3] 6.51 km (4:49 / km)
ahr:126 max:138

Very Easy with a huge hangover (at 5pm) and DOMS (in my calves particularly).
NB. Out with my '88 girls last night. Some huge laughs. Some special kids.

Saturday Feb 18 #

10 AM

Running 33:07 [3] 8.16 km (4:03 / km) +45m 3:57 / km
ahr:157 max:172

Hard. Plan was to run a 10k under 40mins. (Haven’t tried that in over ten years). Started first 5k into the wind. By the turnaround I was in Zone 5. At 8k I could feel the wheel nuts coming undone, so I bailed before the wheels came flying off. Jogged home.
With literally zero training this is a nice marker for the start of some training in March. Problem is, the more it snows, the less I’ll run.
Always nice to have a good blast at sea level.

Running 8:42 [3] 1.65 km (5:16 / km) +4m 5:12 / km
ahr:131 max:140

Warm down.

Friday Feb 17 #

10 AM

Nordic (skate) 51:01 [3] 10.36 km (4:55 / km) +46m 4:49 / km
ahr:122 max:149

Easy on Valley Floor before flight. Slow conditions with fresh snow.
NB. Massive neck pain today.

Thursday Feb 16 #

12 PM

Alpine Skiing 58:38 [3] 16.41 km (3:34 / km) +2187m 2:09 / km
ahr:89 max:129

Steady day with Kieth on Baldy x2, Genevieve and 9. That lad's a good skier. He film's all the pro's here for their social media, so they're ....gulp.
NB. Kendal's suspended from sport. One cliff too many. Needs a concussion release.
NNB. I took the biggest fail of my life so far today. Had no idea what the outcome was going to be. Skied away laughing though.

Wednesday Feb 15 #

12 PM

Alpine Skiing 45:37 [3] 10.97 km (4:09 / km) +906m 2:57 / km
ahr:65 max:105

Snow Day means POW Day. Woke up to 2'+ of powder and a text telling me school was closed. Took Eadie into Black Iron Bowl for her first time. She wrecked immediately and continued to do so all the way down. Cold, we bailed early. Tomorrow has me excited.

Tuesday Feb 14 #

2 PM

Alpine Skiing 28:49 [3] 6.99 km (4:07 / km) +1461m 2:01 / km
ahr:79 max:116

Dropped the Guilds off in Montrose then headed back for a quick ski with Eadie on the mountain. Well over a foot has fallen. Great afternoon with Eads on 9 in the woods.
NB. Cancelled Podiatrist follow up cos the foot is happy as Larry. (It was a powder day so I paid the $25 no show fee to ski with Eadie.)

Monday Feb 13 #

3 PM

Running 30:27 [3] 3.4 km (8:57 / km) +55m 8:17 / km
ahr:112 max:125

Snow run on Goose. Ended up post holing and turning around.
