Cycling 1:11:29 [4] 30.03 km (2:23 / km)
shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

Phew! Tired this morning, but I did it!!! A bit muggy, but still cool enough to venture out almost to Teron Road on Penfield. Greeted Jeff T who was walking his dawg towards Britannia beach and shouted out a “Happy Birthday!” to him :)

Thursday Jul 18 #

7 AM

Walking 1:14:19 [3] 8.0 km (9:17 / km)
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 4 (7W)

Lots of happy “Good morning!”s along the Turn-Around loop this morning. Did the usual distance top-up on Ivanhoe when I got back. Avge HR 98 bpm. No issues at all with heel; didn’t take an aspirin! Saw some cute crows allogrooming in a tree by the river :)
12 PM

XBX Fit 450 Program 56:00 [3]

The usual, with some good yoga stretches thrown in at the end. HWR playlist.
7 PM

Yard work 57:00 [3]

Fantastic speedy workout reel-mowing the front and back lawns. NK, doing this activity is making me stronger!

Wednesday Jul 17 #

Note

Felt queasy in the aft/eve and think I got a bit of heat exhaustion. Tired, headache too. Drank tons of water and rested where it was cool. Felt nauseous all evening. Missed the Teutsch’s party for Jeff :(
8 AM

Cycling 1:09:51 [3] 30.0 km (2:20 / km)
shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

Out to Penfield, turned around just past Bethune Park. HR max 161. Humid! Met a Catapulting Chipmunk that leaped across the path near AHaydon Park! Haha! Go, little dude!
Nice breeze on the way back but I still sweated an ocean, jeesh. I don’t feel pain in my foot anymore when I’m on the bike - at all! Wahoo!!!!

Tuesday Jul 16 #

7 AM

Walking 1:14:50 [3] 8.0 km (9:21 / km)

River loop to turn-around. Foot feeling good, and I didn’t pop an aspirin before heading out. Wahoo!
Brief chat with Erika’s mom at 6.5 km. Getting muggy!! GMa Fran landing in about two hours.

Monday Jul 15 #

9 AM

Cycling 1:08:23 [3] 29.0 km (2:21 / km)
shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

What a great morning! Cycled out westward and turned around using Penfield and Roland Michener school in rhe scientists neighbourhood. Perfect temp and breeze. Red squirrel ran across my path in Chipmunk Alley. I guess the neighbourhood is diversifying! For some reason I still felt a bit tired today and could feel it in my quads on the way out. The route back was a lot better, except that I then had to contend with Potatoes along the path from Carling to the SJAMP. Oh well, I guess it’s good that people are out and enjoying the day. Doesn’t anybody work anymore, though?
Started using Garmin Connect. Thanks, Tash!!! :)

Sunday Jul 14 #

10 AM

XBX Fit 450 Program 59:00 [3]

Great session with extra stretching to help recover from yesterday’s workout on the hills :)
X-Men playlist.
1 PM

Walking 1:30:00 [3] 8.0 km (11:15 / km)
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 4 (7W)

Really nicet walk with Tash to the arboretum and back from her place. Saw lots of cute dogs, and helped a lady with a Dobie who had to dive into a dog poop garbage bin to retrieve her car keys!!! Aghhh! Gross! Luckily there weren’t too many poop bags in there, or it would have been a really shitty experience!
Perfect day for a walk in the breeze and sunshine :) Thanks for the invite, Tash!!
