Running 42:02 [3] 7.0 km (6:00 / km)
ahr:144 shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

Fantastic run along the river in a perfect drizzly rain, with just the right temp to be happy in a baseball cap, T-shirt, and capris. Wahoo!!!! First run in over 4 months where I didn’t have to use my Dr Scholl inserts for the PF!! So happy to be back in regular shoes again. Heel felt good, but I know I still have to be careful on up-hills and accelerations. I really focussed on my foot biomechanics every stride. Post-run, I could feel a bit if tenderness just under the outside ankle-bone. Keep my eyes on that...

Cycling 1:27:00 [3] 28.0 km (3:06 / km)
ahr:115 max:154 shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

BOB session with Francis: biking-orienteering-biking. Cycled up to Chemin Montagne via Gat bikepath to P3, then neighbourhood roads north-west to get to Montagne. Orienteered for a bit using a map Francis made, working on new type of bearing-taking method with my compass. Strapped for time on the return trip, so biked down St-Raymond and over to the Champlain bridge-home.
11 AM

Orienteering (Training) 35:00 [1] 1.5 km (23:20 / km)
ahr:75 shoes: Saucony Excursion 11 Gortex

Brief, slow practice session to learn a different way of using the compass for more accurate bearings and route. Coach Francis made a map for us and guided this City Girl through a lesson. Had to cut things shirt due to other commitments at home.

Running 53:00 [3] 8.0 km (6:38 / km)
ahr:156 shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 26

RALF session at Bruce Pit. Ended up doing 4 times the gravel path loop plus 4 hill loops. LF sore and heel twinged at several spots. Walked up the hill on each of those loops. Total mileage is an etimate because I delayed starting the watch on one of the gravel loops. It’s getting dark earlier every day!!!

ahr:142 max:154 shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

“Winter is coming.”
Keep pedalling.

Running 37:03 [3] 6.3 km (5:53 / km)

Duckie Point and back. Wet, muggy, warm day, so I was dripping sweat on my return. Got a 5 km record of the season (29 min - good for me at this point in time!). Heel great, cardio felt good.

Eric and Andreas’ meet at P7. Did the SA course with Titus. Very challenging, as route choice options were equally difficult/arduous. Had fun keeping up with Titus, and enjoyed the spongy terrain of the water-depleted swamp areas. Woods were lovely, LIGHT, and deep, and we kept our promise to stay together!! My shoes could have been more supportive around the heels, so I need to figure out what pair will be best for Rogaine. The added cushioning I put in the forefoot was perfect:) Two aspirins before the meet kept my heel happy and ensured good recovery. Had some good chats with Club members. Great turnout! Our Andrew did very well on the LA course, despite missing just the one control (his #12, our nemesis #8!)
