7 AM

Running (LSD) 48:34 [3] 8.0 km (6:04 / km) +125m 5:38 / km
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 25

RHAH (25C feel at 6 a.m.) run to Britannia Beach. Seniors were swimming again at the little beach by the jetty! Nice little breeze when heading south, but it didn’t alleviate the HAH, especially after the sun emerged from the cloud cover at around 6.5k into the run. The last km was tough.

8 AM

Cycling (DiNA) 1:15:11 [4] 30.02 km (2:30 / km) +166m 2:26 / km
ahr:143 max:170 shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

OW Trail to the 15k turn-around past the Scientists neighbourhood. Muggy and warm; busier than you can shake a stick at along Britannia, comme d’habitude.
Kept it easy because my knees have been sore and queasy...
5 PM

Strength & Stretch (Upper and Abs) 50:26 [4]
ahr:92 max:132

CoachNat workout #4. Helluvuh! Did an active CT warmup - warmed up the Lcuff well :)

Thursday May 20 #

6 AM

Walking 1:22:22 [3] 9.2 km (8:57 / km) +163m 8:13 / km
ahr:104 max:147 shoes: Saucony Peregrine

To Britannia Beach, with a few loops here and there. Three sub-9:00 kms. Saw a few people swimming at the little beach near the jetty. Looked peaceful. Quite busy on the usual paths. Humid, already near 20C!!
4 PM

Yoga 26:00 [3]

Wednesday May 19 #

6 AM

Running 36:31 [3] 6.2 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: ASICS Gel Kayano 25

Duckie Point and back. 10C, sunny, slight breeze, already busy, busy on the ‘JAM.

7 AM

Cycling (DiNA) 1:11:26 [3] 24.25 km (2:57 / km) +253m 2:48 / km
shoes: Shimano WR61 clip-ins

Shake-it-out cycle with Francis to the Violent Disagreement Museum and back. Took a small detour to the Gratwohl Chateau at the beginning to deliver a book. Saw people swimming at Westie Beach. Dumb new bike path detour at the Beach too. WHY?
3 PM

Strength & Stretch 58:00 [3]

Modified CoachNat circuit w/o . Dang good.

Orienteering (MapRun) 1:04:43 [3] 9.59 km (6:45 / km) +68m 6:31 / km

Glen Cairn course with Francis. Very nice - fun! Great sunny morning, nice temp (10C) at the start.
11 AM

Yoga (Post-run) 25:00 [3]

Sunday May 16 #

8 AM

Cycling (DiNA) 1:18:33 [4] 35.0 km (2:15 / km) +381m 2:08 / km
ahr:141 max:159 shoes: Bontrager Hilo inForm Tri shoe

3X SJAM repeats to Island Park and back. Kept a steady pace, no coasting (no hills, really, to do that on anyway!). Good effort, but not conc-head-inducing :) Funny aside: at 33.33 km my watch was at 1:13.03.
Sunny morning, 14C, slight westerly headwind on the return leg.
Greetings shared with Marathon-running Doc Cohen a few times, and also with Francis as he ran his ‘56’ on the median.
Was considering a fourth loop, but it was getting busy and my lower back was tightening up.
