South side of the KZM to the Uni-Lego ‘hood and back. Nice and cool to start (~14C) but already 18C when I finished. Felt a tiny bit tired, so I took it easy as much as I could. HR was climbing a bit too high at some points so I kept an eye on that.

Very enjoyable canoe outing with Francis on the Ottawa River, to christen Wee Jock on its first voyage. Put in from Shirleys Bay (P1 Connaught Beach) and paddled out to Innis Point Bird Observatory and back. Saw an egret fishing for supper, some swallows flitting about, and spotted a wee head and beak atop one of the aeries set up near the point. Perfect conditions for paddling: 23C, overcast, not too choppy on the river. We enjoyed getting used to Wee Jock’s ‘river feel’, and are convinced that she would handle well in white water!

To the 7k turn-around, back via DP, then a skip-diddleyoo around the S-loop head and then home. Nice cool morning (14C) but warming up. Baby geese and lots of gold finches out there today, oh, and an Errol on his bike! Glimpses of Francis’ neon yellow arm sleeves off in the distance well after he passed me :)

Easy run to DP and back. Had a vision migraine early this morning along with a conc headache, so waited until the aura went away, then went for my run to ease the head issue. It worked!
Nice day for a trot: overcast, 17C, with a gentle breeze.
