A short loop in the Melechov forest, the usual route: up the goat path and down the circular forestry trail. Good pace. Fastest K: 4:50

warm-up ahead of the race. Ran fast uphill; heel pain persisted

Orienteering race 57:47 [5] *** 7.53 km (7:40 / km) +108m 7:10 / km

Camp O’Ardenne, stage 1. Length on the map: 5.8k. A near-perfect race orienteering-wise, only two minor errors. Fastest K in 5.50. Felt sharp pain in my right heel for most of the race so unfortunately couldn’t push it despite the runnability of the forest. Hats off to the course-setters! The map was 4 years old yet every control was in the right place ....
