6 AM

Skiing long (Skating) 3:10:19 [2] 40.6 km (4:41 / km) +513m 4:25 / km

Same loop as on Tuesday in the opposite direction, then I added on side trips to Huron Lookout and MacKenzie King Estate to get up over 40 km.

-1C, overcast and still. Incredible skating conditions this morning - hard, fast and rolled overnight made for the most enjoyable ski of the year. We need snow, however. There is barely a base right now on some parkway stretches, and after warm weather today, I fear closures looming.
Funny, almost the same elapsed time as earlier in the week - couldn't have done that if I tried it.

Running (Commute to work) 51:27 [2] 8.3 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: Salomon SpeedCross 4 CS

Still feel quite fatigued today from my Tuesday workout, so I'll skip my run home.

Skiing long (Skating) 3:10:42 [2] 36.3 km (5:15 / km) +467m 4:56 / km

Long ski starting from P3 -> Gatineau Pkwy -> Champlain Pkwy -> Fortune Pkway -> P9 -> P8 -> Gatineau Pkwy -> P3.

Beautiful day for skiing, and the trails were very nice with several cm of new snow rolled on top of the hard base.
I'm very happy with the ski - it was an important confidence booster for me ahead of the loppet. Now... to sleep.
