8 minutes off of last year's time, and... the win! I was surprised that I was a whole 1.5 minutes slower on the bike, but as fkawam pointed out, the road was really soft from the rain - you could feel the tires sinking in, so I think everyone was slower here. The big difference, of course was the swimming, which is still so much faster than the running leg. I also spent almost no time in transition, which saved me a good minute I would estimate.
All in all, tons of fun. Great food, lots of laughs, and of course... Nanaimo Bars again (there's a tradition to continue!)
