Watched the documentary about Alex Honnold, last night, 'Free Solo'.
Quite the athlete. Afterward, we were debating whether or not his El Cap climb might be the greatest human athletic feat of all time? I'm inclined to think so. Many world records get incrementally beaten over time. And, many impressive feats tend to be endurance sufferfests of the 'how many digits am I willing to lose to frostbite' variety. But to watch Honnold literally on the edge of death for 4 hours was monumentally. It's hard to see how this could be topped, even by him. Really, I hope he doesn't try.
