Mourne Mountain Marathon Day 2
1st overall

Felt good coming into Day 2, slept and refuelled well and had a nice 18minute lead from yesterday. Terrain was probably tougher today lot more heather and bogs to deal with, and obviously the very steep climbs aswell. Routechoices were good looking at the splits. Made one 5minute error towards the end where we both marked slightly the wrong feature on our maps. All in all, class weekend of running in some stunning mountains.

Mourne Mountain Marathon Day1

Solid day from me and Dad, running well and chose pretty much perfect routes for each leg. Start was grim up in the clag and wind, but cleared nicely and we were treated to some lovely views. Lucky to be there tbh as the traffic was shit on the way to the airport and they had to reopen checkin for us- made the flight by 30seconds. Big shoutout to the easyjet lad for reopening checkin though
