Running long 3:21:23 [3] 29.12 km (6:55 / km) +1468m 5:31 / km

One of the coolest routes I've ever done. Started with 8km along the MTB path to get to the start (was gonna take the bus but missed it and would have had to wait 2 more hours).
Then a gradual climb while contouring across the mountain. Ridiculous views, waterfalls everywhere, and some pretty technical running as well. The whole area is just like a perfect panorama photo.
Even a bit of semi-scary scrambling which I wasn't expecting.
Had lunch at the one hut - a quadruple hot-dog which was great :D
And then a jog back down to my place.

Really happy to have got in 115 & 5200 for the week. Been struggling a lot fo motivation for whatever reason, so just been trying to keep things going regardless.

Running intervals 35:04 [4] 7.57 km (4:38 / km) +150m 4:13 / km

4 x 1.2km intervals on the contour path - alternating up/down with about 50m net gain, but with quite a bit of flat stuff in between.

Wasn't aiming to push these too hard initially but more a thresh sort of effort, but landed up pushing harder than that.
First rep a bit rough as I was in a rush and didn't really warm up.
Second rep (downhill) a lot of fun and started to feel good. 3rd and 4th rep went really well, really smashing the descent on the 4th.

Can definitely feels the legs are a bit fatigued on the climbs, but feel strong on the flats and downs.

Paces:

*Strava gave 100m elevation, GC gave 200m+...so going for middle ground

Running 1:03:56 [3] 8.7 km (7:21 / km) +602m 5:28 / km

PM:
Pitztal day one. Just a short one.
Super technical, crazy views and slippery as fuuuck (roots everywhere).
Gonna be an epic few days. And a bit of altitude should do me good.

Running 3:43:44 [3] 26.58 km (8:25 / km) +1640m 6:26 / km

Hike up to Edel Hutte for lunch (2238m), then a run back down and then 8km back along the river to get home.
Initially planned a bit further but was pretty tired so just listened to the body, and wasn't feeling that keen anyway. So just a chilled hike up. Then tried to put in a solid descent - really really nice 7km of downhill single track (and dropping 1500m).

Running tempo 55:55 [4] 14.98 km (3:44 / km) +97m 3:37 / km

10km steady with a bit of progression (from 3:53 to 3:37) and then 9 x 1min on/off progressively faster.
Didn't have much of a plan going in but wanted around 15-20km starting off steady and then picking the pace up later on. Legs were definitely quite heavy from the last 2 weeks but didn't feel too bad either. Decent workout, nothing to write home about.
Stomach was struggling a bit ...just had too much for lunch.

Running 1:30:07 [3] 15.67 km (5:45 / km) +829m 4:33 / km

Pre-run:
10 x contra-lateral leg raises
2 x glute super set (15 reverse, 10 deadlift, 25 kick back)

Started off at a decent effort to get a little contour segment, and then fairly steady effort up the 600m-ish climb. Then just headed across for a while (not knowing where the paths were at all) and hit a dead end...can't understand why there are so many dead end paths...
And then a tense standoff with some cows which was fun :p
Managed to find a single track back down and turned out to be really nice - technical but just runnable so perfect for me. Fun descent and then a little extra along the river and through the fields to get some kms.

Running 1:00:10 [3] 10.52 km (5:43 / km) +488m 4:38 / km

First day in Zell am Ziller. First a bit of 'promenade' (what Euros call the contour path) which was nice. And then crossing over to the other mountain to do a little loop. Steep climb in a nice forest, then a quite technical but fun descent. Had to run and jump over an electric fence which was a bit of a rush :p
Then going along a sweet little single track along the river to get some more kms and then 5 x strides on the road coming back.

Post-run:
Core - 3 x 8 x get-ups, 2 x 16 bugs
