Mixed trail road running 55:32 [2] 12.28 km (4:31 / km) +132m 4:18 / km
ahr:144 max:162

To hazlehead, around and back. Left knee and lower leg ok, just the ITB tightening up around halfway but not as bad as earlier this week so managed to keep running and it was actually ok by the time I finished. It was just a bit sore later on carrying heavy bags in the stairs but I think it should be ok by tomorrow.

Surely moving house counts as cross training, it's exhausting!!

Friday Sep 15 #

12 PM

Trail running 21:17 [3] 5.03 km (4:14 / km) +54m 4:01 / km
ahr:131 max:143

Lunch run along the hazlehead parkrun course. Legs feeling surprisingly light and bouncy today and what was meant to be an easy run turned into pretty much a progressive one! 4.59, 4.27, 4.10, 3.59, 3.36 (last 2k helped by the downhill though) ah well if that's what the legs felt like! Left knee back to normal so no problems with it, right ITB still tight but better than wednesday. Lower leg as usual.

6 PM

Turbo trainer 30:04 [2] 13.11 km (2:18 / km)
ahr:117 max:137

Quick spin on the turbo.

Wednesday Sep 13 #

6 PM

Road running 24:51 [2] 5.01 km (4:57 / km) +68m 4:39 / km
ahr:144 max:157

Easy run around the block, legs recovering nicely. Left knee is better, but now the ITB on the right side tightened up so I'll have to foam roll that, by experience that usually happens when I don't run regularly enough so it'll get better quickly. Lower leg ok.

Tuesday Sep 12 #

6 AM

Road running 10:38 [2] 2.01 km (5:17 / km) +31m 4:55 / km
ahr:139 max:160

Testing the legs. Not bad actually! Knee still a wee bit sore but not enough to disturb the running so I won't worry about it too much. The muscles are no longer achy and I felt a lot lighter on my feet by the end of the 10min.
Followed by a couple of minutes of stretching.

Monday Sep 11 #

(rest day)

A lot better than yesterday, knee seems a lot better too. And I can walk walk down the stairs too now, whoop whoop!
