Felt good. First time kayak racing. Got my ass handed to me by carbon/ kevlar Olympic training kayaks and surf skis. Not without paddling my heart out though. Gave it everything I had. It was fun. Ill do this next year with a more competitive boat.

Overnight rain and excited to run on wet sand for a change. Ok to start but legs turned to stone after 2 miles. I suspect because I should have rolled out my legs after yesterdays ride. Wont make that mistake again before tomorrow morning.
Beautiful morning anyway. Campground was full of happy campers. I'll miss all the inviting orders of breakfast being cooked over the campfire as I run through the campground and the cheerful hikers and their dogs from the campground on the trails.
