Note

O100 training, first of two sessions.

I have ample time on my hands, figured why not learn about meet planning and course setting and maybe even get my feet wet in the figurative sense. (Though I'm definitely looking forward to my first cold O-style foot soaking of the year!)

Enjoyed the session. I have a newfound appreciation for the amount of time and work that goes into making each one of the club's meets happen so that participants can show up, run a course, and go home, having enjoyed their day.

Have downloaded Condes and played around with it a little. Eager to get going on the homework.

All this reminds me of back in the day, organizing dog agility fun matches with the club I belonged to, the challenge of designing safe nested courses for teams of varying skill levels, using Clean Run software, with the limited amount of equipment we had available, printing the course maps for participants (no scale to worry about, though) and taking on various and sundry tasks to try to ensure a good day for all... Ah, those were the days. But, I digress. And these days are pretty darn good too.
